Distribution & Habitat:
Swampy areas on the Malay Peninsula.

Description:
A large, quick growing climbing palm which forms thickets of slender canes that can reach up to 40m long. They carry numerous spreading, pinnate leaves with attractive, drooping, narrow leaflets.

General:
The canes are used for making low quality furniture.

Culture:
Sunny, moist position. Requires tropical conditions, and something large to climb over.
