Distribution & Habitat:
New Guinea rainforest.

Description:
A medium sized clumping palm, to about 6m, with a very prominant green crownshaft.

General:
Not as spcatcular as its brother, the Lipstick Palm, C. renda , however, none the less, a very attractive, underutilised palm for the tropics.

Culture:
Like all Cyrtostachys , this one is very cold sensitive.
