Brazil

Description:
A large fan palm to about 10m tall. Leaves have very long petioles.

General:
Grown commercially on a large scale in Brazil for carnuaba wax, which is collected from the leaves. Oddly enough, the plant is not often grown outside Brazil.

Culture:
Full sun, in a moist, well drained position. The seed can take up to a year to germinate.
