An emergant palm of the Andes rainforest.Description:
A tall, solitary palm, with a waxy crownshaft, and dark green leaves that are whitish underneath. The trunk is also very waxy, it feels like it's been powdered with baby powder.Culture:
Cool,humid and moist, but well drained. That said the plant pictured here is growing in Ventura California, where the summers would be quite hot and dry.
