Distribution & Habitat:
Rainforest on the Nicobar Islands (which lie along the eastern edge of the Bay of Bengal).

Description:
Tall, slender, feather palm to about 15m. Very similar to Archontophoenix cunninghamiana , but with a longer crownshaft.

Culture:
Fast growing palm for tropical lowland areas. Very cold-sensitive.
