Palms   Bactris simplicifrons

Synonymy: Numerous Common Names: Unknown Distribution: Trinidad, Tobago, Southern Tropical America Habitat: Rainforest Description: A small understory palm, single or multi-stemmed up to 2m tall, with very slender unarmed stems. Between 3 and 8 leaves, spirally arranged on upper part of stem. Leaf blade either simple and deeply bifid (V-shaped) or pinnate with 2-10 leaflets per side. General: Culture: Warm, sheltered and moist.
