Distribution & Habitat:
Wet savannah throughout South America.

Description:
A very large solitary palm with big 'shuttlecock' leaves in which all the leaflets are arranged in one plane.

Culture:
Hot, sunny and moist. Probably doesn't mind poor drainage.
