Distribution:
Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands.

Habitat:
Open forest.

Description:
A small, clumping palm palm to about 3m tall, and 5m across, with attractive pinnate leaves that are dark green above, and silver below.

General:

Culture:
Sunny, moist, but well drained position. Frost tolerant. Seeds are difficult to germinate. A very nice plant for a large garden.
