Distribution & Habitat:
Rainforest, and stream banks of north-east New Caledonia.
Description:
Slender, solitary, emergant feather palm to about 15 metres.
It has a very long crownshaft, and produces a mass of inflorescences.
Culture:
Very rarely cultivated, and very slow growing when done so.
Would probably prefer sheltered, shady, moist conditions.
