A medium sized, solitary, intensely spiny palm to about 9m, with closely spaced, thin (relatively) long, praemorse leaflets. Leaves have spines on both the top and bottom.Culture:
Warm, sheltered and moist. Adults can take full sun, but seedlings need shade.
