Habitat:
Northern Colombian and southern Panamanian rainforest.

Description:
A medium sized plant with leaves to about 2m long. It has a very distinctive collar-like structure at the join of the leaflet, and the petiolule (leaflet stalk).

General:

Culture:
Warm, sheltered, and moist. In habitat it receives about 5m of rain a year, so it likes it very moist.
