Lepidozamia peroffskyana
at Brisbane Forest Park![]()
These photographs were taken in the Brisbane Forest Park, in the hills/mountains behind Brisbane. There are extensive areas of rainforest here, with lots of Macrozamia lucida , Archontophoenix cunninghamiana , as well as Calamus muelleri , (the wait-awhile, so beloved by bushwalkers), and also Livistona decipiens . The plants featured here are growing in very heavy shade, and this accounts for their rather scrappy appearance. The wet season was also well overdue when these photos were taken, altho a week after I was there, the area recieved 12" of rain in one evening, so it did eventually arrive, and with a bit of a vengance.
