Distribution:
Found only in a few small areas of the Lydenburg district of the Transval, South Africa.Habitat:
Grows in thick bush, on cliffs and escarpments on dolomite rock.Description:
A medium sized suckering cycad with up to 8 trunks, each up to 4m long. Leaves are silvery green (a colour unique in the Encephalartos).General:
In habitat, these plants are typically pendulous, hanging off the sides of cliffs with the growing point upturned.Culture:
Lightly shaded, very well drained position. Drought tolerant.
