Distribution & Habitat:
Mountainous pine forests of Western Mexico, between 950 and 1100m.
The variety sonorense is found in Sonora, and northern Sinaloa.

Description:
A small to medium sized cyacd to about 1m tall, with obliquely erect leaves to about 2m long. Leaves are light-green, and flat in cross-section.
The variety sonorense has leaflets inserted onto the rhachis at an acute angle.

Culture:
Sunny, well drained position, in the tropics or sub-tropics.
