Habitat:
The sides of canyons in tropical deciduous forests, in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Description:
A medium to large cycad, to 5m tall, and 40 cm in diameter. Numerous 1.0-1.6m dark green, stiff leaves, flat cross-section in mature plants, v-shaped in immature. Very similar to D. spinulosum , but this species has broader leaflets.

Culture:
An attractive and easily grown plant for the sub-tropics.
