Distribution & Habitat:
Found mainly in Son La province in the north of Vietnam, in mountainous regions mostly above about 500 metres elevation, in evergreen or partly deciduous forests or woodlands or bamboo thickets on steep slopes.

Description:
A short stemmed plant, but with 2-5 1.8-3.30 metres (6-10 feet) long, deep green, semiglossy, leaves.

Cultivation:
Likes a shady, well drained position in the tropics/sub-tropics.
