Distribution & Habitat:
It is found in only one location, the mountain Khao Chamao,
northeast of Klaeng and southeast of Bangkok in eastern central Thailand,
where it grows in crevices in bare granite outcrops, usually in full sun.
Description:
It is a tall, solitary cycad, with a trunk to 10m (30ft) long,
and numerous green/grey green, semi-glossy, leathery leaves,
often exceeding 60 per crown, and between 1.2-2.5 metres (4-8 feet) long.
Cultivation:
Likes a sunny, well drained position. A vigorous grower.
